Property Search in Central London
Property Type: Apartment
Guide Price: £1.5m
The Brief: Identify an undervalued postcode and produce a property in need of renovation with a reasonable margin for-profit and potential for a good uplift in value through refurbishment. The property search in central London was for a client based in Thailand looking for a pied-a-terre in a building with a good porter service and parking.
The Solution: We found a neglected apartment, owned by a premier league footballer, located in an unfashionable, yet smart development on the river. We felt the building had the potential to benefit from a surge in interest in River located properties, due to strong prices being achieved in other local developments – such as Imperial Wharf. Furthermore, the property had a fantastic river-facing terrace and required a light, mostly cosmetic renovation. The property served it’s purpose admirably and sold a few years later for a healthy profit.
